SoftSDC

Installation

Download and install SoftSDC on Windows or Android, set up your smart card reader and firewall, and check that the service and API are running.

This guide installs SoftSDC on one device. Check the system requirements first. For a short overview of the whole setup, see the quick start.

Download

Download the installer for your platform.

Only download SoftSDC from this site or from your license provider. Check the digital signature of the installer before you run it.

Install

Prepare the device

  • Turn on automatic date and time.
  • Make sure you have administrator rights (Windows) or can install apps from unknown sources (Android).
  • Close apps that might conflict with SoftSDC.
  • Connect the smart card reader now, or after installation.

Run the installer

  1. Double-click the .exe file.
  2. If SmartScreen shows a warning, select More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Allow administrator access when asked.
  4. Follow the installer. It adds any missing runtime components and firewall exceptions.

Start SoftSDC and choose a license

Open SoftSDC. On Windows, use the desktop shortcut the installer created. The services start on their own.

On the welcome screen, choose Start Trial or Activate License. See licensing for details.

Check the installation

  • The service status icons on the home screen are green.
  • The reader shows as connected.
  • The API answers at http://localhost:8431/api/v3/attention.

After installation

Set up the smart card reader

Connect the USB smart card reader.
Install drivers if asked. Most readers use the built-in drivers.
Allow SoftSDC to use the reader when asked.
Check that the home screen shows Reader connected.

Allow SoftSDC through your firewall

PurposePort
Local API for your POS8431 (you can change it)
License checks with Cryptlex443

The Cryptlex addresses are in system requirements.

How the service runs

  • It starts on its own when the device boots.
  • It listens on port 8431 by default. You can change the port in settings.
  • It writes logs to the application data folder.

Platform notes

  • Check the Windows requirements, including the required software.
  • Windows Defender may need an exception for SoftSDC.
  • The service runs under the Local System account.
  • Service events appear in Event Viewer.

If installation fails

More fixes are in troubleshooting.

Uninstall

To remove SoftSDC, see exiting and uninstalling. Uninstalling keeps your configuration, license and fiscal data unless you delete them yourself.
